What are your views on Hip Hop and how it is portrayed in todays generation? What are the advantages and disadvantages of Hip Hop in America? In what ways does/doesn't it benefit our society? Which is the real issue, Hip Hop or the artists (in Hip Hop) and the message they deliver?
Personally I believe that the artists in Hip Hop should be held somewhat responsible as well as the consumers that buy their music. It is possible that Hip Hop can be used for good... There are a lot of artists that talk about the problems in the streets and it is portrayed in their songs...But rarely do they give the solution to those problems. These artists whether it's hip hop, country or rock music are no better than a news reporter because all they report is negativity...So if you're always around negativity and used to always hearing negativity then most likely the way you think will be negative.
What is the role of Hip Hop in society today?www myspaces
Hip hop can have a role but mainstream hip hop chooses the road of ignorance instead of having a voice like P.E. or X-Clan did.
Unfortunalty the images of hip hop today are of ignorance.

I THINK THE ROLE THAT HIP HOP PLAYS IN SOCIETY IS VERY LARGE IN THE GAY CUMMUNITYS MOSTLY.. #1 FOR GAY CLUBS AND BARS ACROSS AMERICA
the message is be proud of being a violent felon, and sire illegitimate children
The message is being proud of sucking at life. having no talent and making millions of dollars for it. being really materialistic. sadly people are sheep and will continue buying this crap....
