hip hop is not dead i still believe mainstream rap is in a coma i don't say dead because you still have great MC's like Nas,Kanyw West,Common,Eminem,Lupe and more but everytime a hear a new song it's like we lose what hip hop really is. Even all the hip hop legends are coming back with new album's like nas,big daddy kane and KRS-one are still making good music.

Hip-hop is still alive it's just hard 2 find now. Underground rap has plenty of great talent.Mainstream hip-hop is pretty much dead though.

well as much as i dont say it very often, hip hop is alive.

Why do people hate on mainstream rap? First you've got to realize hip-hop is a culture, part of a culture is dancing. Thats where the ay bay bays come in and the snap ya fingers. Then you got punchline rappers which drop sick lines all the time. People like tupac is another style, some artist can do both tupac style and punchline (EX: T.I. can do both What you know and Live in the Sky are completely different) People act like now all they do is punchline, not like in the good old days. Because Biggie never dropped punchlines did he? HIP HOP LIVES
