I was and have been a fan of hip hop my whole life but to me since the late 90's early 2000's there has not been good music out.It is all about I got money and women. Not to mention the horrible songs hip hop is making for dance clubs(hey bay-bay).All have become unoriginal to me and got me moving to alternative music for orginality..I guess it circles around, but Hip Hop def. misses 2pac(the greatest.)A true lyricist. What do you think?
Is Hip Hop(Rap)dead,done,since 2Pac died?myspace code
hip hop definetly took a blow when Pac died %26amp; right now is pretty much in shambles....as u said all tha club stuff is tha only stuff that seems 2 matter.......tha industry is all messed up %26amp; tha fans are partly to blame cuz there tha ones requesting this garbage singles %26amp; buyin those garbage albums.......................but no it's far from done....there's alot of good hip-hop left %26amp; still being made but no1 buys those albums....thats how u know hip-hop is dying but tha facts that these artists are still here show it's not totally dead...here's just a short list of lyricists still in tha rap game

Yes, hip-hop.rap went downhill after Tupac left the scene.
Is Tupac dead ? Hmmmmm....one wonders
hip hop died long time ago.
no i dont think hip hop died...%26amp;%26amp; i dont think 2pac died either?
hm idk i may be wrong?
no,,hip hop became better,,bcos of ppl like lil wayne, kanye west,50 cent and so on,,if u noticed in the time of 2pac all the new hip hop artist were not recognised, itz bcos of the death 2pac,all these new artist came up and reshaped hip hop,,thats why i think hip hop aint dead.
No hip hop is not dead. Pac was not the definition of hip hop when he was alive. Yea he was good but the greatest? I don't think so. Hip hop was here before him and guess what? It's here after him too. And Do you really think that there weren't wack artist back in Pac's time? Think again. And as for your concern with the music out today, as punkass would say, The hip hop out today doesn't suck, you suck at listening to good hip hop.
He Wasnt The Only One Who Helped Change The Game. And Hip Hop Didnt Die. NEVER! U See Wu Tang Came Back Clean With Their New Album? And Wu Tang Is Here Forever. A Few Others Coming Out With New Sh*t Too. Blossom U Get Thumbs Down.
I have to agree with JRob. Hip Hop is far from dead and nobody was even asking the question until Nas brought it up and the Government tried to get rid of it by blaming Hip Hop for every negative thing that happens in the world. I think Nas helped though because once folks heard that, they worked harder on their music, kinda of like when a rapper responds to a diss record, they usually try to come with there best work. I feel folks always fall back to BIG and Pac as rap references, when like was said earlier, Hip Hop was great before and after them. To many folks hang from BIG and Pac and refer to them as the best (which I still disagree with, but I can't change anyone's opinion). I think rapper sometimes need to put more effort into their music, but at the end of the day Hip Hop is dead and I pray to God that it never will.
