Question for hip hop haters and lovers? debate on music?

PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE ANSWERING

MUSIC=the art of combining sounds or sequences of notes into harmonous patterns pleasing to the ear and sastisfying to the emotions.

with that being said im just asking not bashing people who know me in here know i listen to hip hop BUT do you feel like hip hop falls under the dictionary definition of music many people who dont like hip hop use music's definition as its main defense for bashing do they have a point?

I feel that it does count as a genre of music. Don't people use drum loops and whatever else to create an instrumental. Doesn't hip-hop satisfy your emotions no matter what you're feeling? If so, then yes, it can be considered music.

People who hate hip-hop can't defend themselves because all they have to say is...

"It's stupid %26amp; pointless"

"It means nothing"

"It's just people talking"

"Anyone can rhyme two words together"

Get over it people, hip-hop is music. Just accept it, thats all that has to be said. You don't have to like it, just tolerate it, WE tolerate every other genre of music.

if i can recall correctly the only "main defense" people have for coming into this section bashing the MUSIC is that "rap is crap"
i think it is music because in the good examples of hip hop the beats make a pattern that blends with the rhymes of the vocals so that you can either concentrate on the words meanings or just let the whole track blend together and listen to the sounds and view the voice as an instrument like a guitar and just read the emotion to try to interperate the story yourself in this music.

however, in what sometimes passes for hip hop the beats are just loud heavy bass and horns and the voice is yelling 'i wanna **** yo pussy' the case is that it isnt music and your only choice is to cover your ears and roll on the floor in pain and sadness.

How anyone could listen to heavy metal or country is just beyond my understanding. They are not pleasing to the ear nor do they satisfy any kind of emotion.

Hip hop has the most harmonious patterns of all genres of music....in my opinion.
imo, it's impossible to define music...just like it's impossible to define art, nature, science, etc.
No they dont have a point...everything that u just said is part of the music in hip hop...these idiots just hate what they cant profit off and dont understand...dat all
